If you’re looking for a digital bank that you can easily download and register an account, then Revolut could be what you’re looking for. Revolut was launched in Europe in 2015 and has since expanded its services.
Out of all the digital banks available now, Revolut is one of those who have a well-designed interface which makes managing your finances easier and minimalistic. There is no irrelevant information on the overview page of the app.
Revolut is also one of the first ones to offer support for cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies are online currencies which most aren’t run by a single entity. Which means that everyone who uses that certain crypto is the one who can manage it.
There are different services available on the app that’ll make your experience better. This includes but is not limited to:
- Travel Lodges
- CFD trading
However, most of these are only available with a paid subscription like Revolut Metal. Revolut Metal is unnecessary to simply use Revolut. It only offers additional services which are more targeted to travellers. If you’re a traveller, you may look into these features.
I’ve never had major problems with Revolut before and hoping to not experience any. However, some of my transactions aren’t charged exactly than what’s on the seller’s page. There are times when I pay for a digital item worth $10 and it will charge me $12 or so.
It’s not quite a big deal but if you’re one of those who cares about every penny, then this could be bothering. This mostly happens when I buy from foreign currencies. Which isn’t supposed to happen because Revolut’s promise is to lessen or possibly remove those fees especially when travelling.
One thing I liked about Revolut is its lockdown feature. It automatically closes your card/s or declines a transaction when it detects that it’s a potential hacking or unauthorized transactions. This has happened to me but fortunately, the transaction was legit. But since I haven’t paid on that seller before, it probably misunderstood it.
Overall, Revolut is a nice mobile bank because it is easy-to-use and there are no irrelevant features which will make everything a mess. I’m using my card on Google Pay and everything has worked perfectly there, no issues at all.
So if you’ve been searching for the best or perhaps one of the most user-friendly digital banks, then make sure to try Revolut as it provides exactly as what it claims.
Is REVOLUT a SCAM?
NO. Revolut is not a scam. It is legit and has been offering its services since 2015. It is licensed and regulated under Revolut Travel Ltd.
Is REVOLUT free?
YES. Opening an account on Revolut is free. There are no maintenance fees or any fees that would make it a paid app. However, if you want the additional features mentioned above like insurance, then you need to buy a subscription package.
DO we recommend it?
YES. I recommend installing and using Revolut because of how easy it is to use. The support system is also easy to connect to so when you’ll stumble into any problems, you can simply contact them through the chat system on the app.
